What we love about Durham is the Durham Bulls baseball! It also has loads of unique and common eateries. Tons of shopping!!
The neighborhood is really quiet and family oriented, has a lake and a small pond perfect for fishing. Also, has a community pool that just got upgraded furniture to lounge in. Wonderful playground to meet new friends!
We usually grab a bit or drink at Brightleaf Square, the Tobacco Road District, Brier Creek and the Streets at Southpoint.
We have a Food Lion, Kroger, and a Harris Teeter within 15 minutes. Also, within that distance, various pharmacies, fast food, Walmart and others!
We are within a 30 minute drive to RTP, RDU, Crabtree Valley Mall, Streets at Southpoint, Tanger Outlets... you name it! We are close to interstates 40, 440, 540, and 85, right off of highway 98 and close to 15/501 and the Durham Freeway!
Every year we look forward to attending the Brier Creek Fourth of July fireworks, Durham Bulls baseball, various local Christmas parades, and Butner Chicken Pickin’!
The first thing that stood out to us about our home was the location in the neighborhood! It is just a walking distance to pool, playground and lake; in addition to the common ground that is adjacent to our property.
If you love baseball, fishing, relaxing in the quiet summer nights away from all the hectic city noise, this home is the right one for you.
On an average, our typical monthly bills look like this: *Electric: summer-$90, winter-$40 *Gas: summer-$20 winter-$90 *Water: $30 *Trash- included with city tax *Internet: we have fiber - $80
This is an rnergy efficient home; one of the best lots in the neighborhood; friendly and quiet neighbors!
I fell in love with the open floor plan, having the ability to see/hear my children playing in the different rooms and it’s location in the neighborhood. I love being able to walk to the pool or playground and if it was too busy, easily walk right back home (though it rarely does). There is a partial trail around the lake that is beautiful in the fall!! The neighborhood has the perfect amount of hills and flat land, great for walking, biking or training!
