What I really love about our town is that it is a quiet rural area close to 3 thriving downtown locations: Raleigh, Garner, and Fuquay. Our neighborhood is just a short commute to Raleigh, minutes from I-40/440, great schools, no HOA! 

If we love to go out and eat, there are a lot of places to choose from! In Garner: Alexander's, Carolina BBQ, MoonRunners, Kick Back Jack's. In Fuquay: Tacos Mexican, Ruby Tuesday. In Downtown Raleigh: Poole's Diner and Oak City Meatballs. There are great Chinese take out places in every direction!

There are also several grocery stores including Food Lion, Harris Teeter, and Lowe's Foods. Insta-cart delivers to the area giving you access to Food Lion, Lowe's Foods, Publix, Costco, Total Wine, CVS, and Whole Foods without leaving home! 

The neighborhood is surrounded by untouched forest areas that are a habitat for all sorts of song birds and ambient noise 1 making tree frogs. However, when you need an urban fix, it is a quick drive to all that city life has to offer.

Every year, we look forward to attending Garner's 4th of July celebration with the NC Symphony is always special. You can also find a food truck rodeo, craft fair, or beer fest within a 10 mile radius almost every weekend of the year! 

The first thing that stood out to us about our home was that I loved how far it was set back from the cul-de-sac, and the big yard! Once inside, the vaulted ceilings sold me. 

With no HOA or city zoning restrictions, you can do almost anything you want. Neighborhood interests include back yard chickens, gardens, large detached workshops, and some houses even have Amateur Radio towers. I love the dark night sky that allows me to stargaze till my heart's content. 

The house is all electric and my monthly energy bill never exceeds $150. Water is about $30. There is a Wake County Convenience Center just outside of the entrance of the neighborhood on the other side of the street. You can take your trash there for free, or you can pay for trash service. Mine is $90 quarterly for trash and recycling. AT&T U-Verse high speed internet is around $60. I have cut the cable cord, but there are many TV and cable services to choose from. 

We've lovingly cared for the home and completed the following improvements: installed wood-grain vinyl plank flooring in the living room, dining room, and hall in June 2015. Heat pump was replaced in the summer of 2014,along with all duct work. 

The back yard is perfect for dogs that love to run! One side has a privacy fence, and the other 2 sides are surrounded by woods with a nearly invisible wire fence to keep in your pets. 

I was raised just a few miles away from this home. When I divorced in 2006, I was loving in Oklahoma and knew I could lick virtually anywhere in the country to start over in. I chose to get back to my roots, so my 2 young daughters and I moved back and found our house. I raised them both there through elementary, middle and high school. My oldest daughter is now married and off on her own, and her younger sister will be off to explore the world of grown up living herself, soon. I will miss the house where I watched them grow up. I can't imagine a better investment than a solid and spacious home with the tax advantages of rural living.
