Private, peaceful and just perfect!
We love this quaint area with all the amenities and all the friendly people. Our neighborhood is very quiet and just simply beautiful with ample trees and rolling hills, perfect for hiking and biking trails. Falls Lake is close by for anyone that enjoys fishing, boating or hiking as well. It’s country living at its best!
There are many great restaurants in this area! Be sure to try a few of these:
Gonza Tacos & Tequila
Los Tres Magueyes
We are also in a convenient location for shopping and entertainment:
Harris Teeter, Lowe’s Foods, Publix, Food Lion, Walmart, Sam’s Club
Trader Joe’s and Costco are nearby in Raleigh
Wake Forest Farmer’s Market (weekly)
Lowes and Home Depot
Gyms (Rex Wellness, the Y, Private Gyms)
Healthcare very close
Emergency Room at North WakeMed about 20 minutes away
Symphony in Raleigh and Theater in both Raleigh & Durham (DPAC) 1/2 hour away
Downtown Raleigh is about 40 minutes away and Downtown Durham is about 40 minutes away
Some of the annual events that we look forward to each year are the tree lighting in downtown Wake Forest and the Christmas Parade. Our favorite past-times/hobbies here have been hiking, bike riding, fishing, boating, gardening, photography, birding, nature viewing, just relaxing!
When I think back, the thing that stood out most about our home was how beautiful the property was with the gorgeous mixture of deciduous and evergreen trees. We hope you enjoy the wrap-around front porch perfect for relaxing on a swing or rocking chair. The deck and screened in porch are built with Trex (no maintenance), screened in porch flooring is tile! The patio has multi-level landscaping and the yard has been beautifully landscaped with crepe myrtles, camellias, rose of Sharon, beauty bushes, butterfly bushes, hydrangeas, Loropetalum Chinese fringe shrubs, pink muhly grasses, zebra grass, Carolina jasmine and much more! The unattached garage is oversized with 3 bays, insulated with electricity, and water, with pole barn construction.
There are 2 walk-in closets in the Master bedroom and 1 in the suite (I call it the Mother's suite, which we now use as 2 offices).
For convenience, there is a second laundry room in the Mother's suite. The bonus room has a full bath, private staircase and entrance so it can be used as an apartment or AirBnB.
There are built in bookshelves in the Great Room & in the Mother's suite, a balcony from the second floor overlooking the Great Room that has 17 foot ceilings. The first floor (other than great room) has 8 foot ceilings. There is Crown molding on the first floor, a total of 10 ceiling fans throughout the home, and a Fenced in backyard.
One neighbor has over 600 acres with cows and our back neighbor has horses & donkeys!

What I enjoy most is it is a quiet, private location. It is picturesque, calming and beautiful. It is close to many amenities, restaurants, golf, etc., yet secluded. It is a great space for family gatherings, with a front yard large enough for a pick-up football game, and a screened in porch and outdoor patio is great place to relax after the game! There is ample room for guests or relatives to stay over and all can have their privacy, or come together in the Great Room or sun-room. Irrespective of whether my trips were for a day or for several weeks, just pulling into the drive washed everything away and it was good to be home! Always looked forward to coming home! Our home is a true respite.
