There are always lots of things to do in Raleigh. Food, spirits, college and professional sports teams, outdoor activities. Great school systems, both public and private. Great shopping and restaurants. Centrally located, within hours drive to beach or mountains.

We love this neighborhood because there are so many beautiful trees! The custom builders made a point of preserving existing mature trees and evergreens. The neighbors are very friendly! People seem to care about the neighborhood and take great pride of ownership with their homes and properties.

Favorite places to eat or grab coffee or a drink would be Relish. They serve wonderful southern comfort food and have a fantastic weekend brunch!

We love this area because of the change of seasons. You can experience Spring, Summer, Winter and Fall but a milder version of each. North Carolina is the place to be in the Fall especially. The color changes with the trees are truly spectacular and vivid! North Carolina is also great because you can get to the mountains or the beach by just hopping in the car. Fantastic access to higher education and major medical centers. The skies are a different kind of blue here and it is always beautiful and with many evergreens.

We have a Harris Teeter super grocery store/pharmacy, Panda Garden Chinese take out, Bojangles, CVS, gas stations, dry cleaner, nail salon, vet clinic within minutes of our home.

We love the area and look forward to the North Carolina State Fair, College Football, Carolina Hurricanes Hockey, various food /beer festivals.

The first thing that really stood out to us was how open and airy it is. There are 20 ft ceilings and windows that run along the entire back wall of the family room, a spacious catwalk that runs the length of the room which makes it seem even more open. The windows really let the natural light in. The corner window over the kitchen sink that brings so much natural light into the space, allowing for a great view of the outside landscaping. Backyard landscaping is lovely. Very spacious kitchen, all the rooms in the house are a good size. Plenty of space. Large backyard for kids to play.

Third floor has a double office and/or work space. There are built in desks/work areas with tons of shelving. Great area for crafters, artists, collectors. The finished three car garage has plenty of space to house cars, various hobby or sports equipment. There a lots of bike clubs that like to ride the back roads near the neighborhood. The neighborhood is a beautiful area to run, walk a dog - beautiful, tons of trees and safe. The bonus room is a great space for those who enjoy movies and video games.

We've lovingly cared for the home and completed the following improvements: 2003- put in a large 75 gallon water heater, so we have endless hot water! All gutters replaced in 2005, with leaf guards. 2007- renovated third floor walk up attic into a 400 sq ft office/work/hobby space. We added a window to bring in natural light and a new heat pump. In 2010- renovated the kitchen - new granite counter tops, refrigerator, double sink, hardware, microwave, dishwasher and high end Italian cabinets refaced. Renovated the master bath - new subway tiled shower, semi seamless glass shower enclosure, granite counter tops, sinks, cabinets refaced, new tile floor, mirrors, light fixtures and hardware.
