I’ve really enjoyed living here because the location is so easy for me to use for traveling by highway or thru RDU. And now that 540 connect to US-1 it’s even better. When I bought here I traveled at least 4 nights per week. Having the office on the 1st floor is great; I could unload directly from the garage into the office and easily keep work and home life separate.
When I needed to work, the office is very private and separated from the bedrooms so no worries about disturbing other people. Being in a light environment is especially important to me and here with the primary exposure facing south it always feels bright even on overcast day. Then the kitchen opens onto the deck and is a great place to put the grill and lets even more light let into the living area. Conveniently the half bath is off the kitchen.
Having a full bath on the 1st floor is wonderful. After a walk/run I have a place to shower and the sweaty cloths can go directly into the laundry. Master bedroom fits a king or queen bed and still has space for a sitting area.
The entire Brier Creek area has really expanded and is an even better place to live from when I moved here almost 11-years ago. 8. Everything that caused me fall in love with this townhouse and location is still true today. I will miss living here and the conveniences but I’m really going to miss my GOOGLE FIBER!!! Would so love to be able to take that with me!
I love Raleigh because it’s a growing area, new stuff all the time. There are concerts at PNC Arena and Red Hat Amphitheater, events at the NC State Fairgrounds, weekend flea market and the Famers Market and the other shops.
I love this neighborhood because it is easy to get to I-40 and I-540. You can get to Page Rd area thru the back roads. You can walk/run 3+ miles without crossing main roads or doubling back. The outside maintenance and landscaping is taken care of. Trash collection is on Tuesday, so holidays rarely change collection day and, the community pool is a great meeting place.
Some of my favorite places to eat and drink are Mez and Los Tres Magueyes, for Mexican; Great China for take out; Brier Creek Beer Garden; Pei Wei; Brixx; Trali Irish Pub and Red Robin.
I love this area because traveling to RDU and the highways is super easy, I can be in downtown Durham in 15 minutes. Raleigh has 4-seasons, mild winters and it has about equal distance to the beaches and the mountains.
There are lots of conveniences and great choices that you can choose for groceries - Lowes fresh sausage bar is great, Earth Fair is close and a new Harris Teeter is opening soon. Warehouse stores are close too, BJ and Sam’s Club. Auto Bell is near. My Dentist and Eye Doctor are only 5 minutes by car or 10 minutes walking. Duke Urgent Care and Primary Care are only 5 minutes away. CVS and Walgreens are very near and Brier Creek Community Center is at the light.
I look forward to attending the 4th of July fireworks every year at Brier Creek. It is a really good show and I can watch them from the master bedroom!
The first thing that really stood out to me about the home is the light on the main level, southern exposure, so even on grey and overcast days the rooms are still bright. The kitchen is on the opposite side and opens onto the deck, which is a terrific place for the BBQ, and more light fills the main level.
Getting your exercise is really easy from this location and you can create different paths to go miles without crossing main roads!
In preparing for the sale, I’ve had all the main systems professionally evaluated/serviced (June 2017) including the gas log fireplace, HVAC system, garage door and installed all new stainless steel kitchen appliances: refrigerator (ice and water thru the door), range, over the range microwave, 51db dishwasher and disposal. Hot water heater was replaced about 3-years ago. Hot water, furnace and fireplace are all natural gas.
